Mother on Mother of Pearl Sweetheart Leaf ShapedBrooch from the 40s with Heart Dangle Aslo in MOP So Lovely

This "Sweetheart" pin was probably made at a fair where a man would bring his sweetheart to a booth and buy the pin and then watch the artisan make the name out of gold filled wire. It was very popular in the early 1900s and then became popular again during the 40s. The mother of pearl Leaf is carved with a jagged edge and has MOTHER with a green mother of pearl heart dangling from the end.
It is 2 1/4x1" and is in excellent vintage condition. .
